Zoë is a Dutch and Surinamese vocalist whose work is rooted in storytelling, the Great American Songbook, and the jazz tradition. With warm, heartfelt interpretations, she brings a personal and contemporary touch to classic repertoire.

In the spring of 2026, Zoë graduated with a master’s degree in Jazz Studies from the University of New Orleans, where she studied with Cyrille Aimée and worked closely with Quiana Lynell and Brian Seeger. She also interned at the Jazz & Heritage Foundation, gaining hands-on experience within the New Orleans music community. Zoë is currently based in New Orleans, where she continues to develop her work as a performer.

In 2026, she released her debut record with the Dutch jazz label Zennez Records: a collection of jazz standards recorded with her guitar trio. That same year, she received the Ernest O. and Shirley N. Svenson Jazz Composition Award for one of her original compositions.

Born in Trinidad and raised in the Netherlands, Zoë grew up in a musical household surrounded by soul, jazz, and live performance. Influenced by artists such as Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, and Billie Holiday, she creates honest and intimate performances that invite listeners to connect through story, emotion, and song.
